Osteopaths are specialists in manual therapy for musculo skeletal issues. We want all patients to leave us having a better understanding of their issues and knowledge of what practical steps can be taken. Our patients should feel they have been welcomed, listened to and understood. Osteopaths make every effort to provide skilled, professional and ethical care to every patient.

Graduating in 1998 first in class for the year I was accepted onto the General Osteopathic Councils register and opened my first practice in Islington. At the same time I worked part time as a clinical tutor for the College of Osteopaths and as a volunteer clinician at The Osteopathic Centre for Children in Harley Street.
My initial 5 year training has been augmented by regular professional development courses over the years including several residential courses at the Sutherland Cranial College in Stroud. My special areas of interest are in chronic pain and dysfunction but I am also experienced in dealing with acute pain and in treating children and babies as well as pregnant women. I believe that each individual needs to be treated uniquely and in the minimum amount of treatment to improve the presenting problem. All my patients have their problems explained and the reasoning behind any interventions being applied. Advice on how to maintain improvements is given where required and patients are always welcome to consult me if there are any further questions or worries about their condition and recovery. I see treatment and recovery as a partnership between the therapist and the patient where the patient becomes empowered to help their own recovery alongside my specialist help.
My practice has grown and thrived through mostly personal recommendation. I have been privileged to have a busy and mixed practice for the past 26 years serving patients from Highbury and Islington as well as other parts of London, the UK and abroad.

At New River Osteopaths, we strive to provide the best osteopathic care to our patients.
A full case history is first taken so that every aspect of your health is understood. This is followed by a physical examination of the presenting problem and a discussion of what is causing and maintaining the issue. A treatment plan is proposed to resolve or manage the issues with the minimal amount of appointments necessary.
There is good evidence that manual therapy reduces pain and disability whilst improving function and range of movement for a wide range of musculoskeletal issues including low back pain, neck pain, shoulder dysfunction, cervicogenic headaches, pregnancy related back pain and baby feeding and sleeping issues as well as issues with young children such as glue ear, sinusitis and growth developmental issues.
Besides manual therapy and osteopathic manipulation we offer acupuncture/western dry needling, cranial osteopathy and help with ongoing exercise therapy. Bupa provider and for other leading Health Care insurers. For insurance please enquire.
